GENERAL INFORMATION

  • "Adults-Only" means that we only welcome guests who are 18 years of age or older. Age verification will be done at the time of check-in. Please do not make reservations if you are traveling with children, as check-in will not be possible.

  • Unfortunately, we do not accept pets at Casa Tikiri.

  • The rooms at Casa Tikiri are all double rooms with king-size double bed (72x78'' / 180x200cm). Unfortunately, a third bed is not possible.

  • Currently we do not offer a laundry service, but we can suggest someone who offers this service nearby.

  • Each room is equipped with:

    • Mosquito net

    • High quality towels

    • Hair dryer

    • Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel

    • Tea and coffee kettle

    • Pool towels

    • A straw bag to conveniently carry your things to the pool or garden

  • Yes, at Casa Tikiri we offer Wi-Fi via unlimited fiber, which is the best connection available in Sri Lanka at the moment. However, since the connection speed may depend on various external factors (such as local network availability or weather events), slowdowns may occur at times. We always do our best to ensure stable and fast service.

  • We accept cash payments in Sri Lankan Rupees and Visa and Mastercard credit cards. Unfortunately, we do not accept American Express cards.

TRANSPORTATION AND ACCESS

  • ì, a visa is required to enter Sri Lanka. You can apply for it online through the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) system, which is the fastest and easiest way to obtain an entry permit. We recommend that you apply at least one week before your arrival. The ETA visa is valid for 30 days, but can be extended once in Sri Lanka. You can apply directly on the official Sri Lankan government website: https://www.eta.gov.lk.

  • Bandaranaike International Airport is about 160 km from Casa Tikiri, and the trip by private car or van takes about 2 1/2 hours. This is the most convenient and fastest way to get there. If you wish, you can add private transfer to your reservation through our Web Concierge.

    If you prefer cheaper options, you can take the highway bus or train.
    The highway bus connects Kadawatha Station to Galle Station. From the airport, you will first have to reach Kadawatha station by tuk tuk or bus. Once you arrive in Galle, you will have to take another tuk tuk or bus to Casa Tikiri. The bus stop is only 350 meters from our facility.

    Alternatively, the train connects Colombo Fort station to Ahangama station, which is the closest to Casa Tikiri (about 2.5 km). The train ride is inexpensive and can be a unique experience, although it can sometimes be longer than expected.

  • Of course! You can book your transfer while booking from our website or after completing your stay reservation, thanks to our Web Concierge.

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT

  • Check-in time is scheduled for 2pm.

    If you arrive early, you can enjoy the common areas (restaurant, pool) while you wait. We will do our best to give you access to your room as soon as possible.

  • Yes, we accept luggage storage before check-in or after check-out. However, storage is only possible from 8:00 am on the day of arrival until 10:00 am on the day of check-out.

  • If your flight lands overnight or very early in the morning and you plan to arrive at Casa Tikiri before 8 a.m., you can also book the night before to check in overnight, subject to confirmation of availability.

FOOD AND CATERING

  • Yes, we offer a menu that includes options for all tastes: fish, meat, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and non-spicy dishes. We try to accommodate every dietary need and make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

  • To ensure the tranquility and privacy of our guests, access to the pool and restaurant is reserved only for hotel guests during the day. However, we are happy to accommodate you for dinner, daily from 6 PM to 10 PM. Contact us to reserve your table!

ACTIVITIES AND EXPERIENCES

  • Yes! Our mission is to give you unforgettable experiences. We have selected some of the best activities in the surrounding area, in line with our philosophy. You will find a QR code in your room that will give you easy access to all our suggestions for excursions, activities and places to visit.

  • The peak season is from December to May. The weather is generally sunny, the beaches are long and the waves perfect. Our area is not affected by a real monsoon during the year. From May to December, although there are some rainy days, these are always alternated with sunny days. The beaches get shorter but some, such as Weligama and Unawatuna (which are about 10 minutes from Casa Tikiri), remain swimmable year-round.

    Our mission is to promote even the off-season so that our guests can experience an authentic Sri Lanka, away from the crowds, where you can soak in the tranquility and enjoy the most genuine experience of our country.
